Our 1954 Bentley R Type was originally built for the Countess of Bessborough; this car spent a great part of its life at Rowlands Castle. The countess was the wife of the Governor General of Canada.
The car’s interior has survived in largely original condition and has a lovely patina to it; she even has the original lambswool rugs protecting the original carpets. Externally she has had minor repairs to the bodywork prior to a full repaint.
